I spent a week in Jamaica, missing last Wednesday, and came back tonight in top form.
I think I should go on vacation more often :)
This was easily my best effort of the season, a smooth, mostly error-free night, that ended up being my 2nd-best career series when all was said and done.
I had only two opens the entire night, a 3-6-9-10 in the first game, and a chopped 6-10 in the final frame of the evening.
My carry was excellent, leaving only a single 10-pin on the night, and several strings of strikes.
I went 231-244-244 for a 719.
The part that drives me nuts is how easy it was. I know that sounds cocky. I just had a smooth delivery, everything came naturally, and it was easy to reproduce frame after frame. Why I can't do this on any kind of consistent basis is beyond me. I guess I just have to do a better job of remembering to keep it simple, and stick with what works, and not tinker too much if I get off track.
Definitely nice to put up big numbers considering my first three weeks were real stinkers. Now with back to back good weeks, I got the average up to 200, and can try to focus on hitting some of the goals I set for the year, and them not be laughable now.
